• Register on the course.


• Get hold of a copy of the two course books (see bar right) and spend some time studying their structure: find the list of contents, find the index. Where are the exercises? Are there any hints and solutions for exercises?


• Read the note on how to read a maths book.


• I recommend using Mozilla's Firefox browser to view my webpages and my material in WebCT as this browser generally works well on all platforms.


• Make sure you have Acrobat Reader installed on your computer. You will need it for reading the course assignments and other pages uploaded on this site. Acrobat Reader is free to download from Adobe.
